Freelance translator/interpreter

My name is Andrew Lomax, I am a freelance translator and
interpreter. My mother tongue is English, however I have lived in Norway for
over 21 years and speak my adopted language fluently.
My business is translating Norwegian words into English. Simple as that!
I translate all kinds of texts
within a number of business branches and I also work as an
interpreter – sometimes by telephone, occasionally via videolink and other
times in person. More on the kinds of work that I do later (or click on the
‘Customer’s tab on the menu above right to give you an idea of the scope of
my work).
My aim is to de-mystify and simplify the process of translating texts from
one language to another. I believe in conducting business in a down-to-earth
manner and focusing on the goal, namely to do the job well, on time, at a
reasonable price.
Most of my assignments come from a company that I refer to as ‘my agent’ –
which sounds rather grand, doesn’t it? I am a registered freelancer with
Noricom, a Norwegian
company that specialises in translations and interpretation in many
languages. Noricom is
a professional, well organised company with a sound reputation and a number
of regional offices throughout the country. We have worked together for
several years and our business relationship continues to develop.
